Your TennCare Medicaid Member Benefits

TennCare is the state of Tennessee’s Medicaid program. Renaissance provides dental benefits to eligible children, ages 20 and younger, and adults ages 21 and older, including pregnant and postpartum, ECF CHOICES and 1915(c) Waiver members. Coverage for Children

Prevention

  • Oral exams (every six months)
  • Teeth cleaning
  • X-rays
  • Fluoride treatments
  • Sealants (age requirements apply)

Treatments

  • Fillings
  • Crowns
  • Root canals
  • Extractions (teeth removal )
  • Other medically necessary care

Coverage for Adults

Prevention

  • Oral exams (every six months)
  • Teeth cleaning (every six months )
  • X-rays
  • Topical fluoride treatments and caries arresting medicament

Treatments

  • Fillings
  • Endodontics
  • Extractions (tooth removal)
  • Scaling and root planing
  • Full mouth debridement
  • Crowns
  • Complete and partial dentures

Other Services

  • Alveoloplasty (bone contouring for denturing)
  • Removal of bone for denturing
  • Palliative treatment
  • Nitrous oxide analgesia, anxiolysis
